Volunteer Spotlight for Youth
The American Red Cross of Central Florida trains and develops today's youth to prepare for and respond to disasters within the community. Today's Teen Corps is a dedicated, diverse group of highly motivated young people who are involved in their schools as well as the communities in which they live. Each of these exceptional young people donates an average of 150 hours of community service per year. Youth learn about the Red Cross, its purpose, its mission, their role within the organization and the organizations role in the community, and around the world, as well as taking leadership development training, disaster and CPR and first aid training.
