What is the mission of the Red Cross?

The mission of the American Red Cross of Central Florida is to help people avoid, prepare for, and cope with emergencies; to enhance self-reliance and concern for others; and to improve the quality of human life. It does this through services that are led by volunteers and guided by its congressional charter and the principles of the International Red Cross Movement.
